Could this be an anxiety disorder? |
A few months ago my doctor thought I had depression/anxiety and put me on Prozac, but it made me worse so I stopped taking it. Obsessive thinking could definitely be a sign of an anxiety disorder. Do some reading about "automatic negative thoughts" (ANTs) and see if that is what you have. This is the internal dialogue in your head that tells you things are always going to go wrong. You can, over time learn to stop these thoughts. It takes discipline and repetition, but if it is a new problem, shouldn't be too hard. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can teach you how to control these thoughts and learn to ignore them until they get sick of talking and go away. |
