Asthma and my dog?

Can it be possible that my dog has aggrevated my asthma and in turn has turned into me having Bronchitis ( a very common illness for asthma suffers).

My doc yesterday said that my asthma has caused me to get Bronchitis and I've been thinking more about when my symptoms started and they co-incide with when we bought our Cocker Spaniel. (I'm allergic to cats).

So is it possible? I may have heart broken kids, but I don't really want to suffer from all this breathing issues as a result from a dog.

This is really an unanswered question among scientists. Some claim that studies show that animals can act as a catalyst towards asthma, while others claim that children's immunity will increase, making them less susceptible to respiratory diseases if they grow up with animals in the household. Personally I believe the latter for children, and the first for adults. But a very difficult question to answer.

yes but that can be checked so don't worry till you get your doctor to run tests to see if you do have an allergy to your dog
there could be other reasons.
