Would an asthma patient have an attack at exactly the same time every day?

Every day around 6 pm I go crazy coughing up phlem....like 8 to 12 ounces. I am not short of breath... just coughing viciously.
We don't eat supper at 6 pm so it's not supper.

What could this be? If it's not asthma?

no exercise
no smoking
no idea what the stimulus is.

I kind of figure it's building up all day and wants out around 6 pm.

Strange that those attacks occur at the same time each day..I have both asthma & copd so know how you feel..

Are you in the same room at 6pm when those attacks happen? And what exactly are you doing that triggers it? Forgot.if the phelgm is yellowish green that means you have an infection & should get an antibiotic..

I find whenever I go to my bedroom I have a terrific attack & sometimes have to use oxygen..The rescue inhalor,Albuterol doesn't help..My Dr & I figured out there must be mold that triggers the attacks..Not dust as I even clean the ducts in that room...
If in the kitchen, perhaps you're allergic to the odor of certain foods when cooking or even the dish soap your using..

Sorry for all my questions but trying to help reduce those nasty attacks..If nothing helps see a Dr to dx you & an allergy specialist..

Best Wishes

well do you do any type of exercise before you start coughing? if that is it then you could because i would exercise and then start coughing and a few weeks late found out that i had asthma if it is not true it might just be a bad cough. the best thing to do would be to go to your doctor and have them check it just in case.

Do you smoke, anything? It could be a cold or upper respiratory infection, what color is the phlegm? If yellowish or greenish or if it has some blood in it then go see your doctor. If not then try to see what triggers it. You might have a food allergy. Is there something you eat every night just before this starts? If so stop eating that and see if you still cough.

i have a friend and he has asthma, he doesnt have an attack every day at the same time. its every so often. do u smoke? if that is the case then that would be it, if not u should talk 2 ur doctor about it u might have something that should be checked.

Try doing something different and going somewhere different. See if the different environment causes the same reaction.

Sometimes our brains are trained to do the same thing at the same time everyday.
