Am I getting asthma? |
For the last 48 hours, I've been having a little trouble breathing. Especially when I swallow or cough. In the past 24 hours, I developed a small cough. My mum and one of my brothers have asthma, so I'm not to sure. I'm going to make an appointment for Wednesday or Thursday to see a doctor. Anyone have any opinions or ideas? Is this asthma forming? without seeing or being a Doctor we can't honestly tell, but when I was first diagnosed as asthmatic, I was having short gasping breaths and couldn't take in full deep breaths. I was surprised to be told I had it at 20, no one else in my family had it. I was told being sickly as a young child and having had many bouts with pneumonia led to mine. Yes you can inherit asthma, but only a lung function test and seeing a qualified Doctor can diagnose it for sure. Asthma does cause you to have a cough which in turn seems to make the chest feel tighter. i agree with everything seek* said. |

My recommendation would be to stay calm and to call 911.
