Asthma--medical ID tag?

I have asthma. Do you think it is serious enough so that I should get a hold of some sort of medical ID tag?

If your asthma is well controlled, then I don't see a need for one. The only ones that I have seen were for people who were allergic to something. For example: penicillin, pain relievers or cardiac meds. So, that if something serious happened to them such as a heart attack or bad vehicle accident, the paramedics would know which medicines to avoid giving to this person. It is also good for when the person has lost their ability to communicate , so that the ER is aware of what not to give them.
