Is there any side effects of asthma inhalers?

Is there any side effects of asthma inhalers?

Albuterol does not have caffeine in it.

It does have a slight B1 agonist which speeds up your heart a bit. For the vast majority of the population the effect is very minor.

Albuterol is the most common inhaler. Here are the possible side effects according to the FDA:

Albuterol may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

uncontrollable shaking of a part of the body
nervousness
headache
nausea
vomiting
cough
throat irritation
muscle, bone, or back pain

Some side effects can be serious. If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:

fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat
chest pain
rash
hives
itching
swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
increased difficulty breathing
difficulty swallowing
hoarseness

I use 2 inhalers, one contains the albuterol and it makes me really jittery all the time, about the time one dose wears off to where I have to take another puff, I can begin to be able to put a pin in a pin cushion!!

the other is the Advair and it is causing my blood pressure to rise, my glucose to rise (needing larger insulin dosage all the time) and gives me nasty mouth sores, sore throat, etc along with very nasty bitter taste to anything eaten or drank no matter how well I rinse my mouth and throat.

It depends on the inhaler. I used to take albuterol for my asthma the only thing that it did for me the whole five years I took it made me a little uppity and jittery because it has a dose of caffeine in it other than that it shouldn't have any effect on you.

Dizziness, A sudden rush, Numbness, And sometimes you can feel your blood rush and heart beat in your head. But thats only when you exceed your prescribed amount of puffs.

Some can increase your heart rate. Steroid inhalers can irritate your throat if you don't gargle after using.

i have asthma and ive been using asthma inhalers for many years now but i didnt come up with any side effects.

heart rate speeds up
