What are the risks of an 18 yr old smoking habit & has ASTHMA?

I started smoking at the age of 17. It was just out of curiosity & to feel "cool" but by the time I hit senior year & 18 yrs of age it became a habit... I was just wondering if 18 yrs of age including having asthma can trigger my health? I know it sounds stupid but I just wanna hear your opinions

The age has nothing to do with it. But smoking with asthma is Not A Good Thing. Been there, done that, and it definitely makes it worse. Plus you may be at even more risk from COPD than other smokers. If you don't want to stop the nicotine, try the nicotine replacement products like the Commit lozenges. Once you get used to it, it's the same long-term buzz as smoking, but without the lung damage. I used them for about two years before I finally stopped and the only downside was that I'd sometimes forget and chew the tablets (you're supposed to leave them in your mouth without chewing) and get heartburn.

quit now!!! you are not as ingrained as some of us are!! you can quit and not get the COPD and total inability to handle breathing!!

It is not quite like an asthma attack where you have trouble getting air in. It is both in and out that is the problem!!!

Steroids for treatment cause weight gain uncontrollably, higher glucose levels, higher blood pressure levels, heavy depression, and lots of other problems.

So quit now before you have to become addicted to corticosteroids as well as the nicotine!!!

Glad you are asking this question. This is a good start in the right direction!

Smoking is not glamorous and can keep people from wanting to get close to you. You can detox and that will help to cleanse your body from the inside out. Look for a detox that will cleanse your blood system. Your blood is carried to every cell in the body including your lungs. Make sure your liver is cleansed too. Here is a great detox tea that will do that and more.

well, yes it can start asthma.

Smoking also causes cancer. emphysema, heart disease, bad breath and a yucky BO.

Other than that, there is no reason not to smoke

Stop smoking today. WHAT DAMAGE IS DONE IS DONE.

wtf of course it will stop now !
