Do I have asthma?????? |
Today during A soccer game during the first quarter it felt like my throat was contracting, but i could still breathe. I think i might have been over exerting myself, combined with the fact that I wasn't very hydrated and it was around 105 degrees. I was breathing heavily for around 2 minutes after this as well. Also it might have been caused because i wasn't very fit because it was the end of summer.... but at school the previous day i ran a 7 minute mile.. Plz help Were you wheezing? If so, then this may be asthma. If not, you may have had a reaction to some allergen. Next time, try to stay hydrated and take an antihistamine. If this was the first time something like this occurred, then I think you'll be fine. If you find that games continue to cause you to go into respiratory distress, then it's not a bad idea to visit your gp. I have asthma myself (although it is not related to exercise) and mine feels more like my chest is contracting rather than my throat. You could have definitely been having a type of allergic reaction though, so seeing an allergist for testing could be worth your while. I know it is scary when you can't breathe! you don't have asthma, you just used your body a little to much. |
