I just got asthma !!!! noooo?

i just got asthma my doctor gave me advair 500/50 to make it go away and singulair but are there any home remedies or something else i can do

when i was in egypt ..( brooklyn all my life) i got a really bad cold and didnt get treated untill 2 weeks after in america by a doctor and he said this is very bad you have asthma

I just want to tell you that asthma isn't that bad because, I have asthma and its acually pretty easy, if you have an inhaler.... do you? if you do your fine because if you start weezing you just puff that into your mouth and your done

This probably isn't something you just got. You just finally got a diagnosis. Asthma will never go away. Over time, you'll find the best treatment plan. My daughter and I both are asthmatics. (She's on the singulair, and I'm on the advair.)
--Find out what your triggers are (grass, pollen, smoke, pets, etc.) and avoid them
-- Take your meds on time - always. They're often your best defense from a flare up. (The 2 you are on are not for sudden asthma attacks, but rather long term control of symptoms.)
--If you get congested, sit in the bathroom and run a hot shower to steam up the bathroom. Sit for a few minutes, them immediately go to a freezer (or outside, if it's the winter) and stand there for a few. (The change in temps can often open an airway.)
--Also consider Creomulsion cough syrup for colds. (it tastes awful, but it works)

The advair & singulair will help control your asthma. Did your doc give you a rescue inhaler, such as albuterol, for sudden attacks? If not, then you should know that drinking hot black coffee helps when you're having an asthma attack & don't have a rescue inahaler available. It sounds crazy but I've tried it & it works.

I doubt asthma is your problem. Sometimes (many times) doctors like to just throw medicine at you, and if you have something in your lungs, advair will help make you feel better. Get a second opinion.

There was a study published recently that Asthma is triggered by childhood trauma. Perhaps you should go to a psychologist.
