Air Force Pilot-asthma?

Well, the thing is, I'm 14 now, and haven't used an inhaler since I was 13. I've only gotten, one or two actual prescriptions for albuterol, but my mom and bro mainly use it when they lost their inhalers.

Anyways, i dont know if i have any asthma. They thought I had exercise-induced, but Ive run a 19:08 3.1 mile race with no inhaler, and today ran 10 100m sprints, and felt fine. I haven't had an attack where I needed my inhaler for over 2 years.

So, I dont know if I even had it anymore after my 14 yo doctors checkup, but I marked it cause I thought I did. I dont even know if I had it, but my mom was worried and doc gave an inhaler to me, so I thought I had asthma, and marked on my charts they gave ubtil now, at 14.

Does this disqualify me from being a pilot in the USAF? or can I call my doc and tell him i havent used inhaler since 13, and he changes it.

I dont even think ive ever taken a test for asthma, and thus think ive never been diagnosed, especially not after 13 like the USAF standards are?

Asthma doesn't "go away" it goes into remission. You need to be examined for it, not because of the AF but for your own health.
IF however you haven't had symptoms since age 12 (that's the key) it's considered "childhood asthma".
That's the way the regulation is written.

I answered a previous question earlier about a guy wanting to join U.S. Army because he has asthma.

My answer was No, no matter how good your asthma gets stress can trigger an asthma attack. Going to training your going to have stress on you. They'll know this, USAF, and deny you.
