Navy and asthma i need some addvice?

my husband joined the navy about a month ago. he doesn't leave for boot camp till january 2010, so he has been running to get in shape.he has asthma and his recruiter said not to say anything about it. he hasn't had a problem with it since he was about 13. but as hes been running it is acting up. he isn't using his inhaler that way he could condition himself. it took him 20 mins today to calm down after his run. is there any thing he could take or do to help him cope with his asthma better?

if your not gunna give me answers on how to fix it then please dont say anything!!!!

I don't know why his recruiter would tell him not to say anything about his asthma.

Boot camp is tough, he could get kicked out if he has a severe asthma attack brought on by the rigors of intense training.

you cant

inflammation is just that asthma is an inflammation of the airways it causes restriction of air movement

your husband needs to be honest and come clean

hes not military material im sorry asthma can be deadly
the attack today proves it. he needs to use an inhaler
and should have today
lack of oxygen causes brain damage

Yeah he needs to come clean. Fraudenlent enlistment is not a good thing and your husband won't be issued an inhaler so what happens if next time he can't calm down his breathing?

Asthma passed the age of 13 is an automatic DQ. If he hasn't had problems since 12 he can get a waiver but will need to do a special test to get in.

You can't just fix asthma....your husband is doing something foolish that can get him killed.

How do they know if you stated your the recruiter said not to say anything. That doesn't make sense.
