Florida weather and Asthma?

I would like to take my nephew to florida, but has severe asthma. He is on daily medication along with daily treatments. I was wondering what would be the best time to take him so that his allergies may be less than other times of the year. We live in Jersey and he has a really hard time when it is extremely cold or when it is hot and humid. I have been to Florida and I don't think the humidity is half as bad as Jersey, but would like to know from anyone that has visited Florida with Asthma what months to avoid.

I think everyone is different. My hubby has asthma but not on daily treatments. We have been to Florida every year for the past 5 years and at different times during the year and no one season seems to bother him over another. Now here in the midwest it does seem to trigger during the fall and spring.
If your nephews asthma is most severe in hot conditions..avoid May-August. Any other time of year its pretty mild. I love Orlando in Sept-Nov

I am an asthmatic that lives in Florida year round. When we go to Disney, we go in the summer so that we can enjoy the pools and water slides. That said, the humidity can be hard sometimes. We like to go out into the parks as early as possible. That way you enjoy the cool mornings and no lines. When the day starts to heat up, go back to your resort and enjoy the pool. As the day cools, head back out into the parks.
Just keep the daily medication going. Keep your rescue inhaler handy and have a good time.

Both my kids have bad asthma. Their allergies did not bother them, but the heat and humidity did. Don't go during the hottest months, like during the summer. I found the air quality good down there and the kids had less problems than I thought they would

We live in Jersey and just came back from Orlando. My 6 yr old son is an asthmatic that's under control in Jersey, but he had trouble every morning in Orlando. He had to have nebulizer treatments when he woke up every day.

my other half is asthmatic and we live in fl. our humidity is very high. but. i think late oct- feb are the best (most syptmom free) months for him and his symptoms.

All of them ... my doctor told me I was crazy when I mentioned maybe vacationing in Florida . The heat and humidity make it hard to breathe .
