I have bacterial vaginosis.?

I have bacterial vaginosis. and im kinda afraid to tell mi dad *mi moms not alive* so idk whats i should doo! Is there any possible way to cure it? How do you get bacterial vaginosis? Im not sexually active, but i do masturbate but im 12 and i dont want to tell mi doctor, and mi dad that! =[ Please help me =[

BV is not an std. Its usually treated with an antibiotic called flagyl. Sometimes when women get an overgrowth of bacteria in their vagina they get BV. Its about as common as a yeast infection.

I would just tell your dad you are having some sort of a stomach pain and need to see the doctor.

tell your dad you think you have a bladder infection and you think you need to go to the doctor for it.
You are going to need antibiotics if you really have an infection and there is no way to avoid telling the doctor. Ask if you can have an appt. with a female provider so you can be less embarrassed about the whole thing. Believe me we have all been there. It gets easier.

If you haven't been to a doctor how do you know this is what is wrong. Most towns have free clinics that do testings for std's and things like that. You don't have to have your parents consent to go there. If you don't feel comfortable going there I agree with telling your dad that you may have a bladder infection and you need to go to the doctor for that.

yea i agree with candy, why do u think u have bacterial vaginosis if u havent gotten checked?, could be a yeast infection, bcause i dont believe u can get dat if u r not sexually active, and if u do have it dats something da will need meds, so go and get dat checked, goodluck!

just tell your dad you need to go to the doctor for "woman problems" if he asks for specifics give him that "excuse me! this s a private girl thing" look.

then tell your doctor you think there's something wrong, some kind of infection in your vagina. he'll either do a few tests or send you to an obgyn. you don't need to tell anyone you've masturbated.

Sweetie -- BV is not a STD. It is incredibly common in women -- all it is in an overgrowth of the normal bacteria in the vagina.

I do agree with the other posters - if you haven't been to the doctor, how do you know what it is? It could be a yeast infection or a UTI.

Just ask your dad to take you to the doctor. If he asks why, just say that you think you might have urinary tract infection (burning with urination and more frequent urination - just if he asks). You don't have to tell the doctor you masturbate - it has nothing to do with BV.
