Has anyone ever had Bacterial Vaginosis?

i had it twice for no explained reason and i am wondering if it could be why i am not getting pregnant

No you should be able to still get pregnant... a lot of time it is caused by frequent sex... talk to your doctor and see if there is another reason behind having trouble conceiving... good luck hun and baby dust to you!!

I have had it once, and I don't think it would make you unable to get pregnant. Take the medicine that the Dr gives you, and you should be fine.
Good luck

I get it every now and again....if gone untreated it could cause problems, but i highly doubt that is the reason for your infertility...my doctor prescribed this cream called rephresh u can get it in the stores and is safe to take while pregnant...if u are trying to conceive maybe that will be a better option for you instead of the pills the doctor may prescribe.

Hi,

Yip I have had it twice as well, if you get it again I would suggest you ask your doctor for a longer course of antibotics. I am pretty sure it doesnt stop you from getting preg though, I managed too, even when using the pill :)

I have had it two years in a row now with no symptoms, only find out at my annual pap. And they can never tell me why I got it, I actually had a nurse tell me it might be the changing weather...It's not harmful unless it goes unchecked for a looooong time, so don't worry. And I'm currently 7 months pregnant, so it probably doesn't affect fertility. Talk to your gyno for more info.

I had it too, and I was also trying to get pregnant for a long time so when the doctor said I had it, I asked her if that could be why I was not getting pregnant. She told me it could be but probably not the only reason. I ended up getting pregnant 1 year after I got it cleared up (ended up in miscarriage but then got pregnant right away after that). So Im not sure if that helped by getting rid of it, or if it was one of my other "tricks" that did it for me finally lol. Good luck!
