Why can frequent vaginal douching be a predisposing factor to bacterial vaginosis, vulvovaginal candidiasis or

iits cuz vaginal douching disturbance the normal flora(normaly vagina hv many kinds of protective organism like bacteria which protects it from lots of diseases and clean it ) of vagina.....so those microorganism which r benificial r also washed away.......increasing chane to get infection

i dont kno y but pampers baby wipes are better for just general clean up

Because douching disturbs the pH of the vagina, as wells as removes the good bacteria that are in there. Without the good bacteria, and a proper pH you can get lots more infections.

There are a couple of reasons. First, the vagina has natural flora present that help fight bacteria and keeps things in balance. Frequent douching can disrupt this natural balance. Second, gravity acts on vaginal secretions to flush the system. Douching basically shoves all that bacteria back up the canal and you know how microbes love a warm moist environment to thrive in.

putting those agents in a vagina can throw off the ph and kill the "good" bacteria which fight infections, makeing way for the bad bacteria to take over

Your vaginal tract is PH balanced and this balance keeps the good bacteria at a steady level. When you douche, you upset the natural flora and PH balance causing overgrowth of bad bacteria and yeast.

it washes out all the "good" bacteria that keeps the "bad: bacteria under control. Its an overgrowth of the "bad" bacteria in you vagina.

You're throwing off your pH and flushing all of the good bacteria out of your vagina. For some women, even washing with soap can do this.
