Over the counter treatment for bacterial vaginosis? |
i don't have any time to get to the doctor today. is there any way i can get a quick-fix over the counter at least until saturday. the smell is bothering me lots!!! Take a shower and call the dr. for an appt. Have you tried washing it with antiseptic feminine wash? Keep your private place clean always. Don't take or administer any medication without consulting your doctor. Bacterial vaginosis is caused by bacteria, which needs antibiotics. You cannot treat this over the counter. You will have to go to the doc to get it treated, but if it's the smell that's bothering you, just wash several times a day with soap and water. Wear cotton underwear too. That may help get rid of the odor temporarily, but it will not get rid of the infeciton. No, there isn't. You need a prescription! |
