Bacterial vaginosis- please help!!!? |
i have had bacterial vaginosis for pretty much the past 5 years, i have tried the creams the pills the pessary s and it is always back within a few days, i don't even bother to treat it any more as it is almost pointless. Assuming it is infection it might be worth trying a 2 week course of iodine pessaries (Betadine) its messy but virtually sterilises the vagina. It is then a good idea to follow this up with inserting LIVE natural yogurt, either on tampons or with an introducer. This helps to restore the normal flora, lactobacilli which are also in the yogurt. You can then try instilling every month for a few days at period time to keep the vagina protected and prevent the growth of 'unfriendly' bacteria. I hope this helps, I only had bacterial vaginitis when I was pregnant, but my daughter had it. we took her to the doctor over and over and they kept giving her creams. Finally we went to another doctor who asked her how much yougurt she ate. She was eating it every day and the doctor said that yougurt can cause the infection, if you eat to much it can cause it. all we did was drop her yougurt intake to about 2 a week and it went away and has not returned. sorry I couldn't be more help. You should try natural treatment that is attacking the root of the problem. no need to worry |
