Bacterial Vaginosis?

Ok I was wondering how to get rid of bacterial vaginosis.
I dont have medical insurance currently.. I wont have any untill the end of Sept.
Is there any over the counter drug or cream I can use?
The symtoms is this weird fishy smell or sometimes its just weird like something rotting...

Serious responses please!!!
I dont need any jokes concerning this.

Bacterial Vaginosis does not have a fishy smell, it is more like a dirty sock smell. You need to be checked for an STD. You can go to any Planned Parenthood and get tested. They usually won't charge you and if they do it isn't much at all (maybe $10). If it is bacterial vaginosis, the only way to treat it is by a prescription. They will give you a cream that you insert into the vagina. Over the counter stuff will not help, neither will Diflucan which is an antifungal not an antibiotic. GO TO THE DOCTOR! vaginal gel that you can buy at wal mart or any pharmacy...five one time a day before u go to bed for five nights and no sex for those five days...make sure to wipe and shower after sex to make sure u dont get it again....you dont have to but it helps

or try this

* Eat at least 8 oz (226.8 g) of yogurt with live L. acidophilus cultures as part of your long-term daily diet. In one small study, women who ate L. acidophilus yogurt for 2 months showed a drop in rates of BV. 5
* Providing that you are not pregnant, you can directly treat the vaginal area with lactobacilli by inserting lactobacilli in gelatin capsules (which dissolve), tablet form, or yogurt form (with a vaginal medication applicator) into your vagina. Do this for 7 days. In one small study of yogurt application for 7 days, 88% of women were BV-free when tested 2 months after treatment. 5
i work with obgyn
you need an antibiotic...call your dr, tell them you do not have ins. they may see you for a cheaper price and have samples they could give you
You could anonymously call a pharmacy and ask the pharmacist if there is anything over the counter you could use. If you live in the US, you can go to Planned Parenthood for a small fee and they will treat you. You may want to try an over the counter douche. The best thing though would be to see a physician.
So far, it does sound indicative of BV, but if you have more of a grayish discharge, it could also be trichamonas, so be careful about self diagnosing. Unfortunately, the only treatment for this is an antibiotic which can only be obtained via prescription.

Maybe try calling a gynecologist and explain your situation. Some will diagnose you over the phone and just prescribe medication without having to see you so all you have to do is pay for the medication.

Hope this helps.
