You can't if you already have it. But you can help prevent it if you're over it by taking acidophilus pills, it's bacteria (good ones) that help to keep everything in check in the area. You can get them from Target and other nutritional stores like GNC. It helps to prevent any bad bacteria from overgrowing and causing the infection.

You say it is bacterial. So it should be treated with drugs only. Otherwise it may spread and harmful. Others Used are: You have to use vaginal irrigation. Here strictly correct method should be employed. Otherwise there may be complications. In pregnancy it should not be used. Introduction of pessaries also should b tried : a)antibiotic pessaries. b)Steroid pessaries c) Specific fungicidal and Bacteria creams also may be applied.
