Can bacterial vaginosis be treated with Keflex/Cephalexin?

I have about 95% of a prescription of Cephalexin, would it be an effective antibiotic to treat BV?

No! Bacterial Vaginosis has to be treated with medication with anaerobic coverage and Keflex doesn't have any. Not to mention, it will may make it worse by killing the good normal flora and causing the bad bacteria already there to over run your vagina.
Do some research online or talk to a doctor. Be VERY careful about taking antibiotics for things they weren't prescribed for, especially if you don't have a complete round of them...taking them inappropriately is one of the reasons so many "bugs" are resistant today and it's harder and harder to find antibiotics than can kill things anymore.

"BV is treatable with antibiotics prescribed by a health care provider. Two different antibiotics are recommended as treatment for BV: metronidazole or clindamycin. Either can be used with non-pregnant or pregnant women, but the recommended dosages differ. "
