I had some testing done (biofeedback) to see if I had ADD which cost me 250.00. These two couples said that I didn't have it and said it is anxiety and stress which is similar to ADD. I thought that I had ADD for sure but anxiety and stress can leave you in a fog and stuff which sounds like ADD but it isn't. Anyhow my question is....."Is Biofeedback training worth the money?" Does it work? They would be hooking me up to a machine which does something to your brain waves (no pain and supposedly no side efects). I would sit there for half an hour and the other half hour they will talk to me about it or something and teach me how to meditate. So by hooking me up to a machine it would apparently train my brain (I would see results in approx.6 wks). $75.00 an hour worth it? I am a little skeptical. Don't want to be "taken".I am nieve at stuff like this because I want to be able to not shut down when someone talks to me and understand them. I have an app. soon and need some help!! Thank You
Biofeedback is rigorously pursued by the FDA as QUACKERY. I think it's illegal for them to tell you it will actually do anything. I can tell you biofeedback is a good idea, but only if you already have a good medical grasp of the problem. The truth is, this society creates ADD, so you'd be abnormal if you didn't have it. What you should do is try very hard to become yourself. Save your money for things that make you feel good about where and how you live. |
