What health insurance companies will cover eeg biofeedback treatment? |
What health insurance companies will cover eeg biofeedback treatment? that's a pretty hard Q to answer... many of them probably will with a proper diagnosis & referral. it may be under a mental health benefit or under a pain management benefit. if you want to check on your own insurance, you just call the member services number on your card- if you dont have benefits for this service, and you're shopping around for it... then you can't just say well, does Blue Cross pay for it or does Aetna cover it, because all Blue Cross policies are different... some people's policies are different than other policies. It depends on if you get it thru an employer or on your own what benefits you have. Some small insurance companies have great benefits- better than big name insurance companies. Hate to give you a sort of generic answer, but that's the best you'll probably get. The above answerer is probably right; it depends. Do you already have a doctor that is talking to you about eeg biofeedback treatment? As you probably already know, it鈥檚 a treatment for migraines, epilepsy, and other maladies and some of the nation鈥檚 leading medical facilities employ this technique to help patients recognize pain or behavioral triggers. You might try talking with your doctor or a doctor you鈥檇 like to use and find out which insurance companies are more likely to approve eeg biofeedback treatment. You might also contact your local state insurance department. When I was perusing the Web for an answer to your question, I noticed that Virginia had debated a law that would have mandated coverage for eeg biofeedback treatment (with exceptions, of course). Hope you receive the treatment you need, Barnes@MostChoice http://www.mostchoice.com/health-insuran... I'm not sure what that treatment is, but just thought I would share there's a company out there that helps people who do not have and need affordable health benefits. It includes regular office visits, any specialists and even pre-existing conditions. It basically includes everything you need help paying for. Their medical plan includes dental, vision, prescription and chiropractic benefits as well. There's no high premiums, deductibles, co-pays, waiting periods, claims forms or anything like that at all. They can save you up to 80% on your out of pocket expenses for a very small fee every month. It could end up saving you a lot of $$ over traditional insurance. Try this website and you can check out the specifics and providers in your area. http://www.everyonebenefits.com/40424269... If your provider isn't on there, he can be added. They are a wonderful company and are members of the BBB. I have benefits through them as well. Hope you find what you need. Please email me if you have any questions, and I'd be happy to help you if I can. Best of luck. |
