Is it possible for someone who has bipolar disorder to recover spontaneously?

Is it possible for people with bipolar disorder to recover spontaneously and without having to take drugs?

I have Bipolar and if that has happened or can happen the I would like to stand in line.

Many times the world is very harsh, even too harsh on people and since we all have to endure the harshness that has been added to our plates again?

Is it so hard for some people to smile inside as well as outside. and with todays world is it that hard to glance up and smile, say some kind words to someone, even just to have manners.

Wouldn't a day go down in the history if the people in this world all of a sudden in no order performed a sudden perfect randon act of kindness to someone else? Source(s): just me
doubtful... probably just cycling. They have what's called episodes and it can be months before they shown signs of having one.
No. the disease will always be there. If the person is taking the right medication for it then it can be 'hidden' from others because of the medicine.
if you don't want to take drugs, try acupuncture. it will help to some extent. it would not be wise to refuse any treatment at all.
Yes & pigs will fly over parliament house & fertilize the lawns.
It is possible for someone who got diagnosed with bipolar to avoid another episode. They might have had previous depressed episodes and previous manic episodes and then live out the rest of their life without another relapse. Without medication, avoiding a relapse is statistically uncommon though.
The best way to avoid another episode is medication - the standard now seems to be valproic acid. If the person is completely against medication, the next best thing is to keep their stress down, do therapy and exercise and eat healthy (omega 3 is especially important) But that is a far distant second to medication and I don't think worth the risk!
It is safest to take medication and this is the best way by far to minimize chance of relapse and if a relapse did unfortunately occur, to minimize severity. Once diagnosed with bipolar (if the diagnosis is accurate) the person has the potential to have another relapse. If they go about it the right way, a lot of people can avoid relapsing though. The right way is medication - the right medication- finding one with the least side effects, combined with exercise, healthy living, regular sleep stress management and a positive attitude. Without medication, they are at a much higher risk for a relapse. My sister got diagnosed 8 years ago, stayed on her med and hasn't had a relapse since being on meds
