Is there a link between Bipolar disorder and the medecine Unithroid/Synthroid?

From my understanding, the link isnt in the disease, but the meds you take. I take Lithium for my bipolar disorder and it effects my Thyroid glands. As a result I take Synthroid to keep it all balanced. Hope this helps.... Good Luck ..... GMM
sometimes a thyroid problem can mimic a mental disorder but i doubt synthroid is linked to bipolar disorder.
