Are there any treatments available for Bipolar Disorder that don't involve Medication? umm...I doubt it...maybe counseling but i dont think there is much besides medication None that are considered really effective. If you are diagnosed as Bi-polar it is best to take your medicine. The older you get without treating it the more severe it gets. Mine became so severe I started to hallucinate. Depends on the type of Bipolar, there are a few different criteria. Cognitive Behavioral therapy helps with some of the symptoms in mild forms with depressive phases. (workbooks, psychotherapy) but there are some pretty safe meds. that help, provided you don't have drug/alcohol probs. yes, talk to someone u trust that may have bipolar disorder. my wife has the same thing and i have to talk her down sometimes. or talk to a professional psychologist. believe me talking does help. god bless ill be praying for you. |
