What happens to a person if bipolar disorder is left untreated?

can a person still live a normal life? can someone actually handle being manic? I wonder.

All of these types of maladies have existed for thousands of years. Typically with the help of family and friends, these folks live long and profitable lives.

What did we do before psychologists or diagnosis?? We got by and worked around and thru our problems, - just like at any other time.
Without treatment tey won't become normal and they'll probably commit suicide
nothing, they'll be fine
Without any kind of treatment (drugs or family therapy) the person may not be able to take it anymore and go downhill even more. Doesn't have to go on drugs but those are the best for regulating the swings at least and then the person can work on what the real problem is and try to ease it. There is no cure for bipolar tho.
No, you will probably end up in a psychiatric hospital until you're stabilized on medication.
depends on what you think is normal but its gonna suck you should skateboard to cope because when you skate for a long time your mind gets cleard and all your feel is the pain in your legs so youll feel better
They need help. There is help. If a person is bipolar they will not be able to control their bipolar thoughts and actions which can be dangerous to themselves and/or others. There is no shame in getting help with this.
