Help for 9yr old boy with bipolar disorder, adhd, petitmal seizures and other mental illnesses?

Find a Physician less inclined to label young children with every trendy disorder. Chances are he needs seizure meds, structured and consistent parenting, and little else.

Are you sure he has all these conditions at his age apart from the seizures, it seems incredible that diagnosis has been given. Personally I would seek an other opinion. He could grow out of most of these conditions but please seek alternative diagnoses.

They seem to grow up inspite of us, not necessarily because of us.
oldlady's advice is spot on listen to it. Too many doctors just know how to make labels ,usually there's a simple solution which help from a good doctor and love and nuturing from the parents is all they really need. Good luck
Hold the phones. The poor kid is NINE YEARS OLD! The first thing you need to do is strip those labels off of him and find a doctor with a second and (as old lady said) less trendy opinion. Slapping the wrong labels on someone, especially a child, can cause life long problems!
