I am currently being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, mental health teams UK, life in general?

I cause a lot of arguements over silly things with my boyfriend and I get so angry at home, thigns are difficult at home and I have been referred to a mental health team (NHS), the Doctor who was really helpful says they will ask me everything and there will be social workers, nurses, psychiatrists etc there. Has anyone had any experience of this? What will the mental health team be like? Will I get help with moving out as I can't afford to but living here makes things worse? Lots of questions so just give any experience you have had. Thank you

They are great I have had them for around 7 years now and they are always there to support you. I have bipolar and live in Lancashire. email me if you want and we can talk more about it. Please don't worry they don't bit well most don't lol. yes you can get help you can get income support disability living allowance, disability premium. a total is around 150 when you live on your own and more if you have a partner also even if he is working you can get disability living allowance. all this is to long email me and I can help you out with what ever it is you need to know. They can help you move and also help get you a grant to move. if your partner or someone is caring for you they can get money as well and they can also get money towards a holiday.
take care

i have post traumatic stress disorder and major depression
and i love my doctors team
bipolars are normal people too
my ex has bi-polar and she got a lot of help and support. It takes a while and they may need to try different medication on you and different doses to get you to where you will be comfortable, but don't be affraid. These people for the most part, are very good at their jobs and very understanding.
Very best wishes to you...you'll be fine, and again, try not to worry.
also in the uk bucks to be exact have been under the doc for 7 years also deal with social workers, psych nurses, shrinks cant be bothered to spell the polite way.they have been pretty good they fill in paperwork for me and are generally are in the background as and when needed.the only thing you can do with moving is discuss this with them they may be able to push a few buttons but not certain the only thing i would suggest is if you find you do do daft things with money i know i do and you are offered "appointeeship" do not and i stress do not go down that road it is a disaster from start to finish i know have been there and got out quick appointeeship i think only works if claiming benefits any more info needed contact me on rosemaryrobinson@yahoo.co.uk if i can help i will
My sister and brother have Bi-polar disease, it's in our family from my grandmother all the way down to my family. My brother in a special program in the VA hospital,in New York City,U.S.A. He goes to the hospital five days a week. The program has help him a grand deal. He has been going for many years. He takes medication that help him to act almost normal. The program you are telling me about sound very helpful for you. My brother has a Social Worker who helps him a lot and nurses, psychiatrists, too. The mental health team will be very friendly and helpful to you. They will answer all your questions you mind have.

Good Luck and " GOD "BLESS !!
