What really works or helps people with Bipolar disorder? |
What really works or helps people with Bipolar disorder? The ongoing supervision of a doctor. But most importantly the loved ones of the bi polar person has to have an open line of communication with the dr. and the bi polar person. This is the only way to ensure that the dr. knows all that is going on so he/she can develop the best plan of action for the bi polar person. Along with allot of love and support the bi polar person as a great chance of living a normal life. All people involved in this person's life have to realize that we ALL have ups and downs. What is most important is that we know that our feelings are validated with our loved ones. It is ok to be upset or angry. They need an outlet to channel their feelings of frustration and anger in. They will have days when they just need to be left alone. They need a place to go. If they have no place to go calm themselves, they could release their bad feelings on the wrong people at the wrong time. Just keep in mind, the bi polar person does not mean to be hateful. They really can not control it. But they can learn a different way to channel it. Don't give up! Source(s): Living with/married a bi polar- manic depressant- suicidal man for 5 years. Still going strong, and learning more and more everyday. IT CAN WORK!!! locking them in the closit.... ...works on my dad Boxing different meds work with different people. I use symbyax and wellbutrin. Going to a mental health professional who can provide therapy and medication if needed. OMG, I read some of the answers before I went to do my own. Lock your Dad in a closet. LOL. Or, box them. I'm crying I'm laughing so hard, and they're very bad answers, you both need spankings. LOL. Anyway, there's all kinds of drugs out there for bi polar disorder. Just don't punch, or lock someone up. That's bad. ~ |
