How do herbal diet pills affect people with bipolar disorder?

I am bipolar and have tried taking herbal diet pills in the past. The reaction I get is mad and uncontrolable anger.

Dont do it!! A lot of these pills have caffiene and other things in them that can trigger anxiety.
People with bi-polar re-act differently to medications, more so it you are currently taking meds. I even have trouble with Tylenol doing the same as you said. Stay away, not worth setting off the cycle of your disease.
Herbal diet pills contaln allot of cafeine this will icrease cortisol levels ( better none as a stress hormone ) it raises blood presure it can triger pscotic episodes abdominal pain not been able to sleep or not geting a good night sleep will also cause the iritability
Any substance which can affect mood or metabolism should be avoided by people with bi-polar disorder. There is a history of manic depression in my family and we have learned to stay away from medicines/herbs that can affect the central nervous system. You had a manic reaction already. Members of my family have totally 'wigged'. It is not to be taken lightly, actually, because consequences of herbs/medications on bi-polar disorder are dangerous and can have serious effects. Good luck !
