How can you find out if you have Bipolar Disorder without going to the docter?

The only way you can get a definitive diagnosis is from a psychologist, psychiatrist or your health care provider. You can try one of the online screenings but you still need to be diagnosed by one of these individuals. You would also require appropriate medication therapy. Self-diagnosis is not acceptable nor is it accepted. Source(s): I'm a nurse.
You can't. It is a medical diagnosis which requires a doc to dx. You can suspect it, you can say you have it, but you cannot be 100% sure (or insurable for such) until it is DX.
YOU COULD NOT FIND OUT IF YOU HAVE THAT CONDITION UNLESS YOU GO TO A DR. WHO SPECIALIZES IN THAT FIELD BCAUSE YOU COULD DO RESEARCH ON THE WEB OR ASK SOMEONE ,BUT YOU COULD BE GETTING THE WRONG ADVICE BECAUSE ALOT OF DIFF. ILLNESSES HAVE THE SAME SYMPTOMS THAT,S WHY IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE THAT CONDITION YOU SHOULD MAKE AN APPT. TO MAKE SURE.
I dont think you can, you have to have tests done.
Please dont try to self diagnose......that is never the way to go. I was diagnosed bipolar 6 months ago and should have been diagnosed years ago. The sooner you get diagnosed with the correct diagnosis the closer you are to feeling better and getting help.
it's hard to make a self-diagnosis becuase there are alot of medical factors involved. bipolar disorder is the cycle of depression and mania. depression is usually marked by increase in sleep, weight gain, lack of social drive, suicidal thoughts where mania is marked by racing thoughts, feeling pressured to talk, overly social, grandious delusions, poor decision making. most people think that bipolar disorder is when someone gets mad and then gets happy. well no, it's more of an episode of one followed by a period of normality followed by another episode, manic or depressive. there are environmental factors involved however alot of doctors agree that it is an imbalence of certain enzymes and a b12 vitimin defecincy. your best bet is to see a professional.
