What can u take for chronic heartburn when u r taking lithium for bipolar disorder?


my lady has had heartburn everyday since she started taking lithium, no matter what she eats. The doctor told her that she could take antacids as needed, but nothing helps. If you know of any all-natural remedies, that would be cool too. Thanx in advance for all your answers.

I use baking soda. 1 teaspoon per cup of water. you can adjust as necessary but its better then tums for me.
