Yeah, i agree w/ the test being stupid, but i swear...i just..i duno....Thanks for your help

Having watched my daughter struggle with BP on a daily basis, my advice is not to worry about the results of this particular test. BP is not necessarily that easy to diagnosis, especially in children and adolescents. There are several clues that would lead me to believe you are not BP: not more interested in sex, not spending money, no family history. Hyperactivity, racing thoughts, inability to concentrate could indicate other things....like ADHD. Or it could be diet related, e.g. do you become more hyper after drinking caffeinated soda or chocolate or something sugary? Do you drink those "energy" drinks that are so popular?

When my daughter is in the manic phase, she is obsessed with anything sexual, experiences uncontrollable and sometimes violent rages, laughs wildly & uncontrollably, uses foul and vulgar language, etc. She can just as quickly go into a crying jag, "nobody likes me", "I'm stupid", "I hate you".

If you are concerned about your behavior and don't feel you can talk to your mom, then at least find another adult you'd be comfortable talking to: school counselor, pastor, teacher, etc.

Sit her down and talk to her about it. If you dont think you can do that.. Ask her to take you to the doctor. Or. Go to the doctor yourself. There is a parental privacy act you know. Being a parent I hate it.... but its there to protect you.

That test doesn't sound accurate at all....nearly everyone is more talkative or more hyper or more irritable than usual at some point. Those things just depend on your mood. I highly doubt that you have bipolar disorder.

It's entertainment. There is virtually no perfectly healthy person who cannot test out potential bipolar on that test. I wouldn't put any stock in it.

If you want to talk to your mom about your moods, then talk to her about how you experience the world, how you feel, your worries, your concerns, what's going on in your life. Don't bring her some canned Internet test that means next to nothing.

I have bipolar. Most anyone with it will tell you that it is not an illness that can be hidden. If you do not have a close relative with bipolar, schizophrenia, or major recurring depression, the odds are next to nil that you could ever have it. If you do have such a relative, then talk to your mom about that, and your related concerns. If you don't, then don't worry about something you don't have.

i would not go by that
