Rapid cycling bipolar disorder?

What qualifies bipolar disorder as rapid-cycling. also, is it possible to have rapid cycling bipolar disorder II.

Newly diagnosed here, so any info on how to deal, things that help, DATING!!, and etc would be greatly appreciated.

Rapid cycling means you have at least four ups and downs in one year. However, many people have many more than that. It is not only possible in bipolar II, but actually more common in bipolar II than in bipolar I.

As far as dating goes, the most important thing is to treat the bipolar. That will require a mood stabilizer, and perhaps an antidepressant as well. Some people also find that large quantities of fish oil help to stablize mood. If you don't treat the bipolar, it will be really hard for you to be a reliable and stable partner.

It happens often affect day to day life. I was once rapid cycling and my doctor says it is 3 or more times a week. I was about every 4 hours. Sucked.

You need to be able to identify when it is happening. Act quickly.

My Bi Polar costs me everything, so I cannot tell you how you will do with dating. It will not go well until you are.
