How did you or anyone else act as an adolescent with bipolar disorder?

How did you or anyone else act as an adolescent with bipolar disorder?

I'm 14. My family's mental health history include ocd, borderline personality disorder, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, schizoaffective, bipolar disorder, paranoid schizophrenia, and depression disorder.

I believe I have been experiencing symptoms of bipolar disorder that I started to notice in grade 5 when I start to think about it. They worsened until now, they didnt worsen terribly but significantly.. I'm at home right now because I had an anxiety attack this morning. Its been affecting my relationships, school work, everything! Like every single one of my friends are mad at me right now.

Is there an online evaluation I can take?
I'm going to a psychologist, my appt is in a month and I'm not sure if they are familiar with bipolar disorder in adolescents. So I'm gathering all the information I can..

This site has been very helpful and reading that is almost clear that i have it. http://www.bpkids.org/site/PageServer?pa...

Anyway, how did you act as a adolescent with bipolar disorder?

Oh. and.
I've gotten blood work done for my thyroid because they thought that would be the cause of my anxiety, depression, etc. Everything was just fine.

As a schizophrenic teen(just recently diagnosed)
When i didnt take medication. I WAS MOTHERFVCKING CRAZY.
I was out going, very hyper, never obeyed the rules. Then again i was severly depressed and suicidal.
Oh yeah, also i always think people are talking about me.

i know a girl, she is 13 currently, and has bipolar, she is most of the time, very moody, one day she's happy, the nest all she does is mope....so you can see, yeah, what are the symptoms? because that sound alot like me??? please email me, or IM, thanks

I have bi polar and so do three of my children. They are generally irritable and difficult to deal with. My 15 year old has a hard time with his temper and wants to hurt himself all the time. My 14 year old is obsessive compulsive also and drives us all nuts trying to put everything in its place all the time. And my 17 year old tried to commit suicide last year, and has alot of issues with depression. They all have times when they hear and see things that arent there. Anxiety and panic attacks come with the territory.
I hope this was helpfull
Good luck.
