Stress worsens my bipolar 2 disorder, what do I do? |
I'm failing college, just lost my financial aid, don't have a job, in the process of trying to move eventhough I haven't told my landlord I want to end my contract early, my car is falling apart and I can't afford to fix it, I'm a shopaholic and I've spent a TON on money lately on crap I don't even need and really can't afford. I'm stressed out!! Stress makes bipolar worse.... fact of life. See your doctor about adjusting your meds. When it seems like so many things are going wrong it can feel like it's all going to come crashing down and you actually can get where you want it all to crash so you can walk away from it and start fresh. But that really is not the way you want to deal with it. Write down everything that is not going right for you right now then sort it into the things you can fix and the things you can't. Try to come up with solutions for your troubles one at a time and keep your expectations realistic. The things that you worry about that you can't change..... let them go, work on the things you can fix. But most importantly, go see your doctor. If you are not on meds, you need to be, and if you are on meds, they need adjusting. Are you on medication? Because if you are not, this could be the reason you feel this way. I guess you need to see you pdoc immediately and tell him or her how you feel. If you are on medication, then maybe those are not the right ones for you. |
