Is bipolar disorder and fits/seizures related?

I'm worried about my best friend. She is sometimes really happy and on a high then other times she'll be really depressed crying like a maniac. I have to sit up on the phone to her till like 3 in the morning until shes stopped crying. Anyway the other week she was round my house and we had been to a party the night before and it was about 8 in the morning and she was having a fit. It was so scary me and my mum called the ambulance and everything was ok. But she never got it checked out. She also told me that she had another fit when she was around 12 yrs old. Shes 15 now. Cause she's always so moody and like sometimes doesn't wanna stimulate herself or get up I was wondering if she had bipolar disorder? But do you think it is related to the fits and seizures?

It does sound like she might have Bipolar.A few things about bipolar:Sometimes you can be happy the next minute you will be sad or depressed.Yes,it can also be possibly seizures. There is a connection between the two.She should have it checked out and possibly be put on medication.Only other thing I can think of it could be depression. There are many things that can cause Bipolar and seizures.I couldn't find a direct link on the two, epilepsy and bipolar but here are some links on bipolar, seizures and opinions from others who have both bipolar and seizures.
