Why are a lot of people suddenly blaming all the world's problems on Bipolar Disorder?

I get really upset when I see any kind of discrimination.
Lately, I've seen more and more people blaming everything under the sun on this illness. I've seen it on YA, and from people everywhere in general. If someone is angry at someone, it's "I bet she's bipolar!" If someone thinks a person is weird or unusual in anyway, people think they're bipolar. If someone commits a crime, everyone whispers, "It's because he's bipolar." And there's the expression, "Omigod, you're so totally bipolar!"
Why is everyone doing this? It's like the new catch phrase.
What's next? Will people blame the conflict in the Middle East on bipolar disorder, or maybe the economic crisis?

I think the people who are doing this should stop blaming everything on this illness. It's really ignorant.
These people have enough to deal with on a daily basis without this.
Why is this happening?

it the same as when ppl call everything gay. i think theres a list of diffrent illnesses ppl blame or compare to. mostly streotyping or just to insult
i cant stand it.

ignorant people will say anything ---that comes into their head
the attitudes they have are there problem not yours they own them not you

but it isnt nice to be amongst them i know that
mix with others who are not so judgemental and damming
sounds very much like you need to choose your company carefully and your exposure s
to better things uplifting thoughts and people

Any excuse will do I guess.
