What should I do if I think I have bipolar disorder?

I have been researching this disorder and I fit nearly all the symptoms. I am planning on talking to my school nurse but I don't want to sound like a hypochondriac. Do most bipolar people deny the fact that they have it or is it possible to think that you have it?

There are a lot of mood things that teenagers get into; it is a very vulnerable time. Now's not the time that you have bi-polar disorder. I am thinking of when you get older, you may know better and it will be more accurate.

Best not go to a school nurse for something like bipolar disorder. If you are genuinely concerned, make an appointment with a therapist/psychologist. Tell them your concerns, and they can most likely be able to tell if you are depressed, at least. If needed, they can also refer you to a psychiatrist, who can make an official diagnosis. Things like bipolar are serious. You will just make things more difficult if you go to your school nurse.

If you think you are bipolar, talk with a therapist about it. He or she will be able to tell you if you have bipolar disorder. That's great you're concerned about your mental health. Some people try to stay in denial. Best wishes!

Do not assume it is bipolar..it could also just be emotional changes that you are going through. You may like this called "Am I depressed?"

That should help you see if it is depression

We can't and you can't diagnose yourself. So go see your doctor to get the proper diagnoses. If by chance you are bipolar then they'll set you up with a psychiatrist who will manage your medications for this.
