What can i expect on a birth control pill consultation? |
I made an appointment at planned parenthood bc i want to get on the pill. My question is, what can i expect during this "consultation"? the lady i spoke with on the phone told me no pelvic exam is required It sounds like what you're going in for is a HOPE visit. (Hormonal options without pelvic exam) they will ask questions such as your medical history, what meds you're currently on, give you an optional pelvic, ask you when your cycle is, how many days it lasts, and finally tell you how the pill works, and when to begin taking it, and lastly give you the script They'll ask you some questions like what meds your taking, your family history, what medical problems you might have, your allergies and so on. Most likely your medical history and if you are on any medication right now. |
