Do birth control pills affect your body? Sometimes, yes. It really depends what pill it is and how your body handles it. Some make you gain weight, break out, etc. When you are talking to your doctor about which pill to go on you can ask these questions because different pills have different side effects. What side effects you may experience also depends on the type of birth control pill you're taking. The most typical side effect of the progesterone-only pill is irregular periods, including spotting and breakthrough. The combination pill has more general side effects like the ones the ones described by the other user. Yes they do, besides causing mood swings they can cause you to gain weight, feel fatigue, and for some can clear up acne, in other cases though they can cause acne. The biggest issues women usually have with them is the weight gain. There are also long term health affects but these are all things you should talk about with your doctor. YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will change your cycles! Also, every girl is different, but however.....I got SUPER sick when I first started and since then I have gained 50 pounds..which was 5 years ago! |

If you want to SKIP periods, you should get on Seasonale Seasonique or Lybrel. Do NOT mess with prescription drugs to try to skip your period. You need doctor approval... |
