Missed two birth control pills and had unprotected sex before i messed the pills. chances of pregnancy?

I took two pills on tuesday and two on wednesday and used a condomn after that. Do you think i am protected?

Chances are relatively good that you will be okay, birth control pills work by "tricking" the body into thinking that it is already pregnant, so chances are that you did not ovulate this cycle and thus cannot become pregnant. For future reference if you ever miss two or more pills in a row, go a pharmacy and get the "72 hour pill", It is an emergency contraceptive that if taken within three days of unprotected sex has a 99.9% effective rate. (Some states require a prescription so check your local laws).

There is no way to know until you have a negative pregnancy test (don't count on your period, do a test to make sure). The odds of pregnancy usually depend on when during your cycle unprotected sex occurred, but as you were on the pill for most of the month, the cycle was basically suppressed and is it is a matter of whether the missed pills caused eggs to drop.
Don't stress it too much- the odds are low, and there's nothing that you can do until you know one way or another. Good luck.

If you have taken an active pill each day for the seven days in a row beforehand then you are protected each day that you take your pill. So having sex before you missed the pills is fine, but after the missed pills you need to wait until you've had an active pill each day for seven days in a row.

There's always a chance you could get pregnant but it's slim. If you've been taking the pill for a long time, your body gets use to the hormones and can still protect you. I've made a similar mistake and had unprotected sex but I got my period. And good job using a condom afterwards. If your still freaking out, go see your doctor or maybe you should take a Plan B to be sure.

Take your pill as directed, never self medicate. If you are worried about falling pregnant see your doctor and get the morning after pill.

By messing with your dosage you can upset and alter your hormones.
