Birth Control Pills Things that could cancel effects?

I heard some things like antibiotics or somehing can cancel effects, can tylonol or something do the same O_o

Thanx about the Antibiotics thing, but can i get an example of some antibiotics that mite affect (popular name brands?) She takes Tylonol but i don thtink that is one. Shes going to the Dentist soon i dont know if they give people antibiotics

The only way to tell is, once you come home from the dentist, check the prescription name online.. and see if it cancels out birth control.. Also grapefruit cancels it out.. Alcohol doesn't however.. only way that would work was if you were to throw up right after you took the pill.. otherwise it's still effective. The safest thing to do is to use another form of birth control for the rest of the pack.. & then on the next go about it as you would normally..

Here is a list that you need to pay attention to, these medications are proven to cause a decrease in effectiveness..
Rifampin
Penicillin
Amoxicillin
Sulfonamide
Ampicillin
Cotrimoxazole
Tetracycline
Griseofulvin
Minocycline
Phenobarbitol
Metronidazole
Nitrofurantoin

Either way.. make sure to use another form of birth control.. Just to be on the safe side..

Tylenol, Ibuprofen, advil, vicodin.. etc.. Anything like that doesn't cancel out birth control so don't worry about it..

Only antibiotics cancel out BC pills. Also missing pills can cause the effects to decrease. There are many babies born though as a result of the mother taking antibiotics while on BC.

Alcohol cancels the effect of the BC pill. Certain antibiotics and missing the pill. She needs to take it the same time EVERY DAY!!

Not just antibiotics... Also, you should never take your birth control pills with grapefruit juice. That can make them less effective as well!

You have to take the pill at the same time every day.

My coworker has an antibiotic baby.... It happens.
