Brown/bloody discharge with minor cramps... and on birth control pill?

I know I kind of already asked this question, but I'm still really worried. But anyway, I'm on my second pack of birth control pills (a week and a half into it) and I have a very light, brown/bloody discharge with minor cramps (feels like period cramps, but I'm not suppose to get my period for another 2 weeks). Please tell me this is very common (the cramps and bleeding and everything) since I'm new to the pill.

I mean, I was on antibiotics a week ago, so that might be the cause for it. But I'm not sure. I want to make sure I'm not pregnant is all. I just want to make sure that what I'm going through is common for women on BCP's.

It's probably "break through" bleeding. When going on the pill for the first time, it may take a few months for your body to adjust. If it doesn't go away in the next couple of months I would call your doctor. It still wouldn't hurt to call and ask the nurse anyway.

My step-mother had problems that resemble your description. She'd vomit and have cramps, although I don't know about the discharges. I would take this seriously and talk with your doctor.

Hope you get feeling better soon!

Cheers,
-Charles

this is normal if you just started the pill, they can make you bleed and be unregular until your body adjusts to it

You know what you should do if you are concerned? See your doctor.
