Question on Birth control pills?

I went to planned Parenthood for my BC PIlls, i wanted to know if it is possible to switch BC Pills if it doesn't work, also switch to the BC Pills that i want? i want to try the Yaz BC Pills, do any1 of you women know if they will let me switch to the kind of BC P I'd want to try???

It is normal to have to switch your birth control pill. I switched FOUR times before I found the one that worked for me.

Make an appointment an let them know the problems that you're having with your Pill and they'll be happy to switch you over to one that works for you.

Good luck!

yes you can switch birth control pills. sometimes its takes some people a bit to get re into the pill, they may break out or have headaches or any of the other symtoms for starting a pill in the first place so it may take a bit to get insnc with them but it can be done easily many people do if the pill they are on is making them break out or ect. Btw im on yaz and i love it!!! (p.s if you are on it for sex it probally wil not be safe to have sex for 3weeks to a month after your switch becuase it takes your body a bit to get used to the new pill)

Yaz is new. Therefore, more expensive. They probably gave you Ortho Tri Cycline or something like it.

I doubt they will switch you to Yaz because of the cost. It's always worth a shot though!

Can't hurt to ask!

Good luck hun!

the pill is always going to work if you use it right....and the doctor is going to prescribe you the best pill for your body..the most you can do is ask about a certain pill you are interested in, but youre not a doctor.

your doctor will put you on the pills that will be best for you. Sometimes it will take a couple tries. For me it was just one. Good luck!
