What is the best birth control pill out there??

I was just wondering.. there are sooo many.. and I heard a lot of them make you gain like 10 lbs.. but then I also heard that some only cause a 1-2lbs weight gain which will come off after a few weeks.

It all depends how your body reacts to them
It really is trial & error.

I have been on the pill, shot and now the IUD and i feel the one i am on now is the best- but it is for me. Not all birth controls work the same for all women, so you just have to find the one that best suites yourself. I have not gained any weight since i was put on the IUD and i have actually lost weight.... which is good cause i can use to drop some!

For me, personally, Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo was the best option. Every woman's body is different though. I reacted very badly to depo, and some of my friends have been on it for YEARS and wouldn't use any other method.
My advice: Start out with something regular, and low-hormone if you are worried about the weight gain. One of the great things about BC, is there are so many options out there, after trial and error (and hopefully not too much) you will find out which one is best for YOUR body.

to be honest, i'd go with a condom. it's the safest form of protection out there next to abstinence of course. i have 2 friends who got pregnant when they were on the pill. that's my sincerest answer to you.
