Just started a new pack of birth control pills...?

boyfriend just got back from Canada on vacation... he normally pulls out, but we wanted to try something different where he doesnt pull out... how likely is it to get preg? Mind you i have been on b/c for 5 years, and gettting preggers isn't our goal!

if you have been on birth control for 5 years then i think its safe to say you will not get pregnant! My boyfriend and I only use birth control as contraception (so no condoms or pulling out), i have only been on it for a year and a half and I have never been pregnant. They encourage the use of condoms with birth control because of STDs and because women tend to forget to take their pills.

and pulling out will definately not prevent pregnancy because sperm can come out of the penis prior to ejaculation. Withdrawal method definately doesnt work, i know people who have become pregnant from that method.

Birth control means 99% likely to protect you from pregnancy. So, its less than 1% likely that you will get pregnant. Try using a condom too, if you're that worried, so he can finish in you. Getting pregnant with a condom and birth control is like, way unlikely. You shouldn't worry too much. Just make sure you never miss a pill and get some Plan B just in case.

I have been taking birth control pills for 14yrs and never got pregnant apart from when I stopped taking to become pregnant.
