When to start the new birth control pill pack?

I started my pills on a Monday and today I start the placebo. When do I start a new pack?

If you are taking a 21 pill pack, you take the active pills for 21 days, and then go off the pills for 7 days, followed IMMEDIATELY by the new pack.

If you are taking a 28 pill pack, you take the active pills for three weeks, followed by one week of placebo pills, and followed IMMEDIATELY by a new pack.
