How long does it take for birth control pills to be out of your system so you can get preggers?

How long does it take for birth control pills to be out of your system so you can get preggers?

The general 'rule' is that if you are on bc and trying to conceive, you should quit taking bc for 3 months before you try to get pregnant.

its 'out of your system' in less than 24 hours which is why you can get pregnant simply by skipping a pill. Your hormones will be out of whack though as they get used to not being regulated by the pill. This can take up to 6 months (and sometimes 12 months) for your body to properly adjust. You can fall pregnant immediately though, it will just take a while for your body to regulate into its cycle.

This is my 3rd month being off the pill and still no baby :( I have heard it can be up to a year, even if you're young and healthy. I know, its really hard waiting, but there isn't too much you can do to get your body back to normal from being off the pill. Once you get your first period after being off the pill, you can start using ovulation calendars to help you figure out when you will ovulate.

Ive been off since march and we havent been able to conceive- my cycles are totally off- anywhere from 10-21 days.

My dr said it can take up to a year :(

Totally depends on the person. The first DAY my mom went off hers she got knocked up with me!
