Are you still protected if you only take a few sugar pills and then start a new pack of birth control pills?

Birth control pills are Ortho-Tricyclen Lo

Do you mean you took one whole pack, but only a few of the sugar pills before you started the next pack? If that is what you mean, then yes you are still protected. My doctor told me I can skip the sugar pills ever once in a while (like when I went on my honeymoon and I didn't want my period at that certain time. )

You are supposed to take the HORMONE pills first. The sugar pills are only there so you don't lose track of when to start the next pack.
You are protected during the sugar pill days, if you took the hormone ones properly in the earlier days.
If you started the hormone ones while there were still a few sugar ones left, you are also still protected.

You are not FULLY protected for the first month of taking the pills, so you must continue to use condoms. It is safer to use condoms for the first TWO months.

You mean after you finish taking hormone pills and go on to your next pack without taking all of the sugar pills?

Actually if you skip the sugar pills and go on to your next pack, you may avoid having your period. You will definately be protected, but it might mess up your cycle.

No, you're only protected if you're taking birth control pills on a regular basis.

Uh No!!!!! You have to stay on birth control and not miss. Do the world a favor and do not reproduce!

No
